Things seem to be ramping up on a potential Conor McGregor comeback in the UFC.
In recent days, McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) claimed a fight is on the table – and that he’s accepted. While he’s still yet to provide a name to the public, he said Saturday that it “possibly” won’t be a big one.

“It’s a no name up next for me possibly, folks. And as you know, idgaf. I ACCEPT. Send the contract, lads. CONOR MCGREGORS DEAL,” McGregor wrote on X.
This was in the middle of a multitweet spree that coincided with sending pictures of his dinner, commenting on Bruce Buffer’s 30-year anniversary with the UFC, and watching the UFC Fight Night 267 broadcast. McGregor also sent a picture of the UFC welterweight division rankings – perhaps further confirming his return, should it happen, will be at 170 pounds.
Conor McGregor no name tweet
McGregor, 37, has not competed since a July 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier. McGregor broke his leg in the fight and required surgery. He built his way back physically but was unable to make it to the cage for a June 2024 showdown with Michael Chandler. McGregor suffered a broken toe ahead of that bout and has yet to be rebooked since.
