NFL Media’s Chad Reuter released his latest three-round mock draft. In it, he sees the Chargers addressing the offensive line with two of their picks and using the other to select a premier pass rusher.
With their first-round selection, Los Angeles trades down with the Texans and takes Texas A&M guard Chase Bisontis with the No. 28 overall pick.
After the Boltsā season was sunk in part by injuries on the offensive line, Jim Harbaugh should be plenty interested in adding a tough-minded offensive lineman like Bisontis, especially if free agents Zion Johnson and Jamaree Salyer are not retained.
With only five picks in this year’s draft, the Bolts would be wise to look to trade back in an effort to stock up on more selections. As for the pick itself, Bisontis would be an upgrade at either guard spot, with Zion Johnson a pending free agent and Mekhi Becton a cut candidate, as well as a great scheme fit for offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel.

In Round 2, L.A. addressed the edge rusher position with the selection of another Aggie in Cashius Howell.
Odafe Oweh and Khalil Mack are both set to hit the free agency market. If they’re not back, the Chargers will need a running mate opposite Tuli Tuipulotu. Howell doesn’t offer much as a run defender, but he knows how to consistently pressure opposing quarterbacks.
With their selection in the third round, the Chargers add Oregon offensive tackle Isaiah World.
World is an experienced player with four years as a starter at tackle. But while the Chargers could use a swing tackle, this seems too early to take one. Instead, they would be better off adding another interior offensive lineman, a defensive tackle or a cornerback.
