Fans of the Boston Celtics who were hoping that the 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals second round series between the Celtics and the New York Knicks might be a lot more gentle than what Boston saw in the first round against the Orlando Magic might not be too thrilled by the assessment of Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla of the looming East Semis series with the Knicks.
“It will be a physical series” said Mazzulla of Boston’s series with New York, dispelling any doubts about a reprieve for the Celtics from physical play on their way to a hopeful title defense in the 2025 NBA Finals later on in the postseason.
