The Canadians have won more golds in men’s ice hockey than any other country, but they haven’t won gold since the 2014 Olympics. That means there is a 12-year gold medal drought for Canada, which is the striking since Canada won three gold medals in four Winter Olympics games from 2002 to 2014.
Canada will open its men’s hockey run against Czechia, a team that has a few NHL stars of their own in Italy. The game will feature Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby on the Canadian side, and David Pastrnak, Martin Necas and Tomas Hertl on the Czech side.
Here is what you need to know about how to watch Canada vs. Czechia on Thursday.
