The Denver Broncos are making sure their fans will fill the stands at Empower Field at Mile High for Sunday’s AFC Championship game.
From fans who had tried to buy tickets to the Broncos-New England Patriots tilt outside of a specific area code have posted screenshots on social media with an error message that reads: “Due to limited availability, tickets will be sold only to those with a billing address in the Rocky Mountain region, including Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Montana, South Dakota and Western Kansas.”

The team says this has been a common practice since the 2011 playoffs.
“As we’ve done for previous AFC Championship Games, the extremely limited amount of single-game tickets on sale for Sunday was restricted to the Rocky Mountain Region to prioritize Broncos fans,” Broncos spokesman Patrick Smyth told 9News. “With more than 98 percent of Broncos’ season-ticker members opting in for playoff tickets, the remaining inventory—consisting of only a few thousand tickets—was nearly sold out within 24 hours.”
In recent games, Bronco fans have rocked Empower Field at Mile High and given it an incredible atmosphere to play in. The fans will have to be at full-throated voice to cheer on Denver and backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham, who is set to make his first start under center for the Broncos since the 2023 season.
