This week, Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson about preparing for College Colors Day this Friday and Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy’s record-breaking running ability.
“When you put on your colors, you have to be different. You can’t be yourself,” said Robinson regarding College Colors Day. “You gotta bring the energy and have fun watching your team win or lose.”
Robinson is one of the more explosive running backs in the league due to his speed. He shared his experience working out with Worthy, who notably broke the 40-yard dash record at the 2024 NFL Combine with a time of 4.21 seconds.
“We didn’t race against each other. But sometimes we would like to finish after a play, and then we would take off. However, during the summer workouts, I would go with Xavier when it came to our full-field running. I would be right there with him,” said Robinson, “But you could tell immediately, like the bro was fast, he was moving, and I was all out, and I was like, Dang bro, like, dude, he has incredible speed, and I thought I was really fast but obviously, he’s different.”
College Colors Day is a national celebration encouraging fans, students, and alumni to show their school pride by wearing their university’s colors and apparel to mark the beginning of the college sports season.
