Feb. 15—MISSOULA — Four players scored in the double-figures for Big Sky and the Eagles raced away in the third period to defeat Glacier 65-45 in Western AA boys basketball on Saturday afternoon. Jack McGowan led Big Sky (8-9 overall, 5-9 in Western AA games) with 13 points; Eli Kasberg added 12, and Cole Sil swished two triples to contribute 10. Carter Knopik scored a game-high 16 points for Glacier (4-13, 1-11). Talis Pitts followed with 13. Glacier matched Big Sky early behind Knopik’s 10 points in the first, but the Eagles began to separate in the second quarter after triples from Sil and McGowan to take a 33-26 lead at half. Big Sky held Glacier to eight points in the third period while Sil, Boone, and McGowan combined for 13 to give Big Sky a commanding 50-34 lead heading into the final frame.
