The Seattle Seahawks are looking for their first victory in the 2025 season this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Unfortunately, this already daunting task is looking like it’s going to be a little more difficult than usual. Seattle’s defense, the strength of the team, could be rather depleted going into this crucial showdown.
The Seahawks’ defense kept them in the game against San Francisco right until the final moments, and that’s even with surrendering the go-ahead/eventual game-winning touchdown late in the 17-13 loss. Sadly, Seattle might be without three of their top defensive backs.
Rookie safety Nick Emmanwori missed his second-straight practice after news broke on Monday he actually suffered a high ankle sprain during the Week 1 defeat. Joining him on the sidelines for Thursday’s practice were Devon Witherspoon and fellow safety Julian Love – who had a crucial blocked field goal.
