2026 salary cap hits for Colts’ Mitchell, Treadwell and Tenuta

    -

Among the many free agency moves made, the Indianapolis Colts re-signed several of their own free agents, including Cameron Mitchell, Laquon Treadwell, and Luke Tenuta.

Over the Cap now has the contract details for each of those players.

    CB Cameron Mitchell

Mitchell signed a one-year deal with the Colts worth $1.22 million. This includes a base salary of $1.145 million — none of which is guaranteed. Mitchell earned a signing bonus of $25,000 and a roster bonus of $50,000 if on the team.

Mitchell’s salary cap hit for the 2026 season is set to be $1.22 million.

At a crowded cornerback position, Mitchell is not a roster lock. Releasing him during roster cutdowns comes with a dead cap hit of just $25,000, while saving the Colts $1.19 million in cap space.

    WR Laquon Treadwell

The Colts signed Treadwell to a one-year deal worth $1.487 million. This deal comes with a base salary of $1.3 million, with $250,000 guaranteed. Treadwell also received a $187,500 signing bonus, giving him $437,500 in total guarantees.

Treadwell’s cap hit this year will be $1.262 million if on the 53-man roster. If released, he leaves behind a dead cap hit of $437,500 with the Colts saving $825,000 in cap space.

    OT Luke Tenuta

Like Treadwell and Mitchell, Tenuta was signed to a one-year deal, with his contract being worth $1.415 million. Tenuta carries a base salary of $1.075 million with $300,000 guaranteed. He also received a $340,000 roster bonus if on the team.

Tenuta’s cap number this year will be $1.155 million if on the team. If the Colts release him during roster cutdowns, Tenuta leaves behind a dead cap hit of $300,000, while the Colts gain $855,000 in cap savings.
