Real Madrid have taken the legal route after officially filing a complaint against Spanish refereeing.
This comes in the wake of their shock loss at Espanyol when Kylian Mbappé was brought down by Carlos Romero with a studs-up challenge, with the defender only receiving a yellow card before bagging the winner in the 85th minute.

In an official statement on the club’s website, Los Blancos’ board of directors agreed to move forward with a formal complaint to the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
