Saaniya Chandhok And Arjun Tendulkar Make A Case For Red At Their Star-Studded Wedding
The wedding bells rang in Mumbai as Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, tied the knot with entrepreneur Saaniya Chandhok in a glamorous ceremony on March 5. Held at a private venue in South Mumbai, the celebrations brought together some of the biggest names from cricket, Bollywood and business, turning the occasion into one of the most talked-about weddings of the year.
The couple’s union followed months of anticipation after their engagement on August 25 last year. A series of pre-wedding events, including a mehendi ceremony at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse and a high-profile celebration in Jamnagar hosted by the Ambani family, had already set the stage for a spectacular wedding, the planning for which was overseen by Eternity by Trinity.
A Regal Groom And A Radiant Bride
For the ceremony, Arjun Tendulkar chose a regal look in a deep red embroidered sherwani paired with ivory churidar trousers. The rich fabric, adorned with intricate traditional motifs, gave the groom an unmistakably royal presence. A classic floral garland added a ceremonial touch, while his understated styling allowed the embroidery and colour to take centre stage.
Saaniya Chandhok, meanwhile, looked every bit the classic Indian bride in a gold and red saree, draped elegantly in traditional style. The saree featured intricate zari work that shimmered under the wedding lights, creating a rich contrast against the groom’s bold sherwani.
Her jewellery completed the bridal look with timeless elegance. Saaniya wore a statement choker, layered necklaces, traditional earrings and stacked bangles. A delicate maang tikka framed her hair, while fresh flowers adorned her neatly styled hair, adding a soft and graceful finish. Together, the couple’s outfits struck a perfect balance between tradition and understated luxury.
Guests At Arjun-Saaniya’s Wedding
The guest list read like a roll call of Indian cricket legends. Former India captain MS Dhoni arrived with his wife Sakshi Dhoni, drawing significant attention from guests and fans alike. India head coach Gautam Gambhir also attended the ceremony with his wife Natasha Jain, in addition to stalwarts like Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Ravi Shastri, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, and Harbhajan Singh.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also made an appearance at the wedding, as did the Ambani family, including Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani with his wife Nita Ambani, as well as son Akash and his wife Shloka.
