Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda celebrated their wedding reception wrapped in tradition. The reception hosted in Hyderabad saw the newlyweds adorn bespoke ensembles designed by fashion designer and artistic director Monica Shah of Jade by MK.
Styled by celebrity stylist Ami Patel, the newlyweds exuded traditional opulence for their wedding reception as they posed for the media outside the venue.
Bringing cultural heritage and contemporary couture, their statement creations featured motifs crafted using pure silver and gold taar, lending the garments both depth and distinction.
Decoding Rashmika Mandanna’s Artisanal Drape
Envisioned in red, black and gold, the Jade by MK saree crafted in Mysore silk, sourced by Madhurya Creations, formed the artisanal soul of the textile. While the red embodied auspiciousness, strength, the black brought power and protection and the gold introduced legacy.
Rashmika’s saree and blouse, was embellished with intricate pearl, gold detailing and silver threads plated in pure gold. Introducing luxe and heritage, the craftsmanship was layered with tradition at its core.
Monica Shah wanted Rashmika to carry a visible part of her heritage with her on this special day and hence the Gandabherunda motif found its place in the creation. Representing resilience and sovereignty, a powerful emblem of Karnataka’s spirit, the Kodava community emblem was crafted on the blouse.
Vijay Deverakonda’s Ensemble Rooted In South Indian tradition
For Vijay, Monica Shah chose to remain deeply rooted in South Indian tradition. The ensemble was envisioned as an offering of authenticity and anchored in cultural truth. Ivory became the foundation of the look, symbolising sacred beginnings, and spiritual grounding, values that lie at the heart of a wedding ceremony.
Vijay wore a classic veshti and angavastram paired with an ivory silk kurta detailed with handwoven silver borders. The silver weaving introduces quiet refinement on the monochromatic palette. The angavastram featured the Gaja-Kesari motif, intricately crafted in pure silver and gold taar, adding meaning to the look.
Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda complemented their traditional ensembles with statement jewellery pieces from SHREE Jewellers.
Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding reception was attended by an array of celebrities including Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Mahesh Babu, Namrata Shirodhkar, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, among others.
