Pink explains why her family has relocated to New York City after debunking divorce rumors

    -

Pink has revealed more about her family’s recent move to the Big Apple as she spends the week guest hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show.

During Monday’s episode of the talk show, the pop star — born Alecia Moore — spoke about moving to New York City from California alongside her husband, former professional motocross racer Carey Hart, and their two children, Willow, 14, and Jameson, nine.

“We actually moved here because I am an amazing mom,” the “So What” singer said. “And also so Willow could study theater and experience more Broadway.”

The singer gave her daughter a taste of being on stage during the episode as the two sang a duet of “Hopeless War” from the musical The Outsiders.

Despite the relocation news coinciding with her guest hosting stint, Pink did deny reports that she would be replacing Clarkson, who announced the end of her daytime talk show earlier this year.

“I’m not taking over The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she said in a since-deleted Instagram video. “I’m doing a fun thing for my buddy Kelly, because it’s a fun thing… If I wanted a talk show, I would not have to audition. I would just have one, and it would be amazing, not something I’m currently researching or looking for in my busy, busy, busy world.”

The news of Pink’s relocation comes a few days after she denied a report from People claiming she separated from her husband of 20 years.

Shortly after the story broke, the “Just Give Me A Reason” singer took to her official Instagram account to address the speculation directly. In a video, she sarcastically thanked the publications for the “alert.”

“I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know. Thank you, People magazine. Thank you, Us Weekly. Thank you for letting me know,” she stated in the clip. “I was wondering, would you also like to tell our children? My 14-year-old and nine-year-old are also unaware. Or do you want to talk about some real news?”

Pink’s video continued, listing a few current topics of conversation, including the Epstein files and the results of the 2026 Olympics, or the fact that she was nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The “True Love” singer met Hart at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia. The couple had an on-and-off relationship until they got engaged in 2005, and tied the knot in Costa Rica one year later.

In 2008, they briefly separated before announcing their reconciliation in 2009.
