Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s glamorous Coachella wellness retreat transformed from an influencer’s paradise to a dusty wasteland in a matter of minutes over the weekend.
A TikTok video taken at the reality star’s exclusive Camp Poosh showed the luxurious setup — complete with massage tables, IV drips and photo ops galore — being battered by massive gusts of sandy wind Sunday in the festival’s desert of Indio, California.
“Camp Poosh got destroyed by the desert winds,” social media star Jack Jerry wrote on Instagram.
Kardashian’s Camp Poosh is an invite-only event for Kardashian’s lifestyle brand that is described as a “reimagined adult summer camp.” It features food and drinks, glam stations, merch, exercise classes and a pool. The event only takes place during the first weekend of Coachella 2026, and it marked the event’s fourth year in a row at the iconic festival.
Jerry’s video, which was set to “Sandstorm” by Darude, showed him standing in the storm with sand blasting in his eyes. Gusts of wind — which were later reported to be traveling up to 50 miles per hour — swept over the camp’s setup and blew over tents, booths and umbrellas as decorations went flying.
In part of the clip, a woman was seen lying on the floor holding her head. Jerry wrote in an overlayed caption: “The table fell on her.”
Poosh did not immediately return The Independent’s request for comment.
Influencers shared their own experiences with the dust bowl in the comments of Jerry’s video, with one writing: “THAT’S ME SITTING ON THE CHAIR!! it was madness for about 5 seconds! But everything got put back together beautifully.”
“Yes! The umbrellas were getting ripped from the ground! My hair looked INSANE,” another person added.
This year’s setup included a performance by Ashlee Simpson for Kardashian’s guest list, which consisted of celebrities, influencers and fans who won exclusive invites in the brand’s giveaway.
Because the event is VIP-only, meaning many people’s requests to attend the event were declined, other social media users shared their vindictive glee at the event’s unfortunate weather after not making the invite list.
“I see my negativity arrived,” one TikTok user joked. Another wrote, “If I can’t be there no one else can.” A third added: “It’s all the people they disinvited/ghosted sending their vibes.”
Camp Poosh was not the only part of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival that was disrupted by the harsh weather.
After the South Coast Air Quality Monitoring District issued a windblown dust advisory throughout the entire desert, a set by EDM artist Anyma had to be canceled Friday due to the severe winds. Electronic producer Jigitz also reported that he had to end his set early because of the weather.
Later that night, the heavy winds are thought to have contributed to knocking over a light fixture that fell and hurt a concertgoer at the popular Do Lab stage. An update on the woman’s injuries has not been provided.
