According to the Traveller Review Awards, Himachal Pradesh secures no 5 position on 2026’s Most Welcoming Regions on Earth.
In the cities category, Himachal Pradesh’s Bir tops India’s Most Welcoming City list.
Himachal Pradesh has been named the Most Welcoming Region in India for 2026, marking its third consecutive year at the top. Known for its calming and welcoming vibe, Himachal Pradesh also secured a place among the Top 10 Most Welcoming Regions on Earth.
According to Booking.com’s 14th annual Traveller Review Awards, the hill state was named among the top-ranked destinations globally alongside destinations in Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia.
Himachal Pradesh Secures Place In The Most Hospitable Destination List
The Traveller Review Awards analysed over 370 million verified traveller reviews from across the world to identify places delivering excellent hospitality. Within India, Himachal Pradesh was the only region that secured a position in the top 10. Other Indian states in the list include Kerala and Goa.
In the cities category, Bir (Himachal Pradesh) retained its position as India’s Most Welcoming City for the second year in a row, followed by Mararikulam (Kerala) and Jaisalmer (Rajasthan). Other Indian regions and cities featured in the rankings include Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Puducherry, Assam, Karnataka and Haryana.
