Zoe Saldaña turned the Elio premiere into a special family night, attending the Los Angeles screening of Disney Pixar’s latest animated film with her three kids in tow.
The event, held at El Capitan Theatre on June 10, 2025, saw the actress joined by her 10-year-old twins, Bowie and Cy, and her youngest son, Zen, 8. The trio made a coordinated appearance in matching navy blazers, white button-downs, dark jeans, and sneakers.

Saldaña, 46, kept her style classic in a brown turtleneck and mustard pencil skirt, finishing the ensemble with brown shoes, a slicked-back hairstyle, and a bold red lip.
Speaking recently on Good Morning America, the Guardians of the Galaxy star opened up about how her roles have shifted since becoming a mom. She shared that working on projects aimed at younger audiences has become especially meaningful now that she can experience them through the eyes of her children.
“Since becoming a parent, incorporating what I do — my art — into a genre that caters to children has always been a great interest to me,” Saldaña said. “And I get to relate to them, and I also get some mad cool points as a mom.”

According to Saldaña, the story left a lasting impression on all three boys.
“They immediately bought into the story. I think that everybody can relate to the themes that Elio talks about: About feeling like an alien in your own skin, feeling like you don’t belong,” she said. “But longing to be a part of a community that accepts you and sees you for who you are. My boys definitely liked it.”

Directed by Adrian Molina, Elio follows a young boy with a vivid imagination who finds himself whisked away on an intergalactic journey. Along the way, he builds unexpected bonds with alien lifeforms and begins to uncover his true identity. Saldaña stars in the film alongside Yonas Kibreab and Remy Edgerly.
