Peyton Jackson is becoming a recognizable name in young Hollywood. But who exactly is the rising star?
According to his IMDb bio, the Atlanta native has been performing since the age of 2. Early in his career, he earned two first-place wins at Amateur Night at the Apollo in New York City and has continued building an impressive résumé ever since.
Jackson made his big screen debut as Jr. in Tyler Perry’s Nobody’s Fool, starring alongside Tiffany Haddish, Omari Hardwick, and Tika Sumpter. He later landed the series regular role of Kyle in the Emmy-nominated Apple TV+ series Best Foot Forward. He also appeared in the Blumhouse feature American Refugee with Erika Alexander.
His film credits include Respect with Jennifer Hudson, The Harder They Fall opposite Regina King and Idris Elba, and First Christmas on OWN. On television, he has held a recurring role on Young Dylan and appeared in Showtime’s The First Lady alongside Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Gillian Anderson.
Most recently, Jackson expanded his fan base with his role as Taylor in The Woman in the Yard. The performance earned him a 2026 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Youth in a Motion Picture.
