-This very weird post totally sent the fans into a frenzy, some expressing shock at the usually mysterious character posting such heartwarming content. “Never would have imagined an animal appreciation video would ever be posted by Lashinho,” remarked one user. Another chimed in, “Finally, a normal Slash post. Good job Slash,” alluding to quite how unorthodox it was for the rockstar to put out an animal appreciation content.
-This set the Brazilian fans very excited and brought forth some comments in Portuguese: “Bom dia Slash, com saudades de Curitiba?” meaning “Good morning Slash, missing Curitiba?” presumably regarding the guitarist’s past visits to Brazil. “Bem vindo ao Brasil Slash,” welcomed one, meaning “Welcome to Brazil Slash” – such are the excitement of international fans over this rare casual moment with the musician.
-This discussion on the capybara led to some really funny conversations amongst the followers. After one declared, “Best animal on this planet,” another asked, “Do you mean Slash or the capybara?” The answer was, “both!” While another added, “This video is reassuring. Interesting animals and really sweet,” to show how that little animal video was striking a different chord for a varied fanbase.
-Tons of witty comments followed, riffing about Slash’s rock-star mystique: “Hoje ele tá fofo, tomou remedinho” (“today he’s cute, took his medicine”) and “Hoje ele tá sóbrio” (“today he’s sober”). There was much back and forth as his fans enjoyed playing around with Slash’s very public persona in moments when he steps out from behind it.
-The post also generated some wonderfully disparate commentary: One user commented, “Reminds me of a Kiwi” (referring to the capybara footage), followed randomly by another saying, “im eating the salad im standing on.” Such mad responses just prove how Slash’s posts evoke an eclectic mix of reactions from all across the globe, no matter the content.

-The post was an unusual diversion from the typical air of rockstar mystery he maintains, and animal appreciation really gave a glimpse of his lighter side. Any attempt at vetoing such animal appeal must have been resisted by the musical legends because their followers would definitely appreciate the folks stepping out to cherish such gritty moments. As one fan quite appropriately described it: “finalmente painho sendo fofo” – “finally dad being cute.”
