Draco Malfoy Actor in ‘Harry Potter’ HBO Series Details Major Change for Character in New Show
HBO solemnly swears it is up to some good.
Indeed, the network released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Harry Potter TV series on March 25, revealing the show will debut for Christmas 2026. It also gave viewers a first full look at newcomers Dominic Laughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout as central trio Harry Potter, Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley, respectively.
“You are a normal boy and you are going to start acting like one,” Aunt Petunia (Bel Powley) tells Harry as she cuts his hair and forces him to live in the cupboard under the stairs. “You think you’re something special? There is nothing special about you.”
However, as Harry receives his letter to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, we see him meet Hagrid (Nick Frost), Hermoine and Ron on his way to discovering that he is, in fact, quite special.
“I think we can expect great things from you,” wandmaster Garrick Ollivander (Anton Lesser) tells Harry as he gives him his first wand. “Let’s see who you are.”
