Martha Stewart Shares Honest Thoughts on Meghan Markle & Gwyneth Paltrow Becoming Lifestyle Experts
Pamela Anderson may be the last showgirl, but she admits she wasn’t the first.
The Baywatch alum responded to comparisons between her show Pamela’s Cooking with Love, which debuted in February, and Meghan Markle’s With Love, Meghan, which premiered one week later, ranking the similarities on a scale from one to 10.
“One,” Pamela told Andy Cohen on the Aug. 3 episode of Watch What Happens Live. “I didn’t really look [for similarities], but I didn’t invent cooking shows.”
The 58-year-old added of the Duchess of Sussex, “She’s just doing her thing.”
Around the time of each show’s premiere, Pamela’s fellow executive producer on her series Jesse Fawcett also shrugged off critics’ comments, which focused on the similarities in titles and aesthetics.
“We take pride in planting the first seeds – creating original, distinctive programming that audiences love,” he told Daily Mail in a March statement, “and it’s a compliment to see our work with Ms. Anderson resonate so strongly.”
While Pamela and her team aren’t busying themselves with the likenesses of Meghan’s work to hers, other stars have chimed in on the royal’s new ventures. Indeed, Martha Stewart recently weighed in with her honest thoughts on Meghan’s work in the lifestyle space.
