Max George of The Wanted sent the world-of-fans into a frenzy with his last Instagram picture, hinting at a workout on Saturday in Nottingham. The superstar posted this high-energy concert shot, putting in the caption “Back at it this weekend.. Nottingham, can you hear me?….” Yet all the loudest Chilean fans can be found in the comment section.

In the picture, George is seen in full flow during evidently the concert of the year, casting a golden beam over the man in a black jacket and backwards cap, very much like the beautiful ambiance of the electrifying concert. Complete with maximum concentration on the concert, it must have been an incredible night for most people who attended in Nottingham.

The comments section has been entirely taken over by Brazilian fans asking for confirmation of their rumored tour dates for November in relation to his United Kingdom appearance. Comments written in Portuguese can roughly be translated to “When will you come to Brazil?” or “Please confirm the November show!” One very persistent fan did state in English: “Actually, BRAZIL can hear you and we can’t wait to see you guys CONFIRMING THE SHOW IN NOVEMBER PLEASE” with the all-caps marking their strong fury for confirmation.

Apparently, the Brazilian fanbase has some solid negotiation strategies while dozens of comments repeatedly post the Brazilian flag emoji and calls for the confirmation of the tour. One commenter pledged, “We’re going to keep commenting about Brazil until you confirm it,” while the other joked about having “already in line for the Brazil show.”

Apart from the South American all sorts, some UK fans are also hyped about a date in Nottingham. One lucky commenter would spill the beans, “Boys can I just say the biggest THANK YOU for picking me to win the competition I am so beyond excited for tomorrow now can’t wait to reunite with you both!!” Congratulatory remarks had flooded from fellow fans.

Others from other international locations showed that they also knew how to manifest greatness from within a cancelled flight announcement-“Fighting a canceled flight from Chicago to make it tomorrow!” Some really know what live music is all about.

An uproarious response is a gut reaction to demonstrate Max George’s indisputable last-minute appeal and pent-up demand for live shows after that lockdown. While Nottingham fans get ready for their show this weekend, the comments section hints that Brazilian fans won’t let their own dates be confirmed just yet. Such a unified voice coming out of their campaign could very well form a heavy argument for the promoters on adding stops in South America on their forthcoming tour.

What started as just a teasing mention of a show then developed into a very interesting case study of international fan engagement. Such passionate responses, mostly from Brazil, underscore the fact that social media has erased all geographical barriers in the history of music fandom. While George is turning it up on the Nottingham stage this weekend, those thousands of voices begging him to bring that energy into their countries’ homelands would definitely be in his head.
