Margot Robbie has come a hell of a long way from her days on Neighbours.
The Aussie star, 35, who hails from the rural town of Dalby in Queensland, first rose to fame for her portrayal of character Donna Freedman on the iconic soap.
She also worked as a sandwich artist for Subway, well before hitting the big time.

Now, she’s on the promotional tour for her new film Wuthering Heights, in which she stars opposite fellow Queenslander Jacob Elordi, 28.
A string of blockbuster hits
Robbie has cemented herself as a household name in Hollywood, not to mention one of its most bankable stars, thanks a string of blockbuster films.Barbie and a breakout role in 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street.

According to reports, Wuthering Heights has also enjoyed huge success on its opening weekend.
The film has raked in approximately $108 million at the global box office. Not bad for a girl from Dalby!
Moving off-screen
Not only has Robbie thrilled fans on the big screen – she’s also been behind-the-scenes too.
The Oscar nominee co-founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment alongside Josey McNamara, Sophia Kerr and her British husband Tom Ackerley, 35.
LuckyChap Entertainment, founded in 2014, is behind some major films in recent years including I, Tonya, Barbie, Saltburn and, yes, even Wuthering Heights.
Robbie scored an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for I, Tonya.
Barbie became the highest-grossing film of 2023, per reports.
As a result of her various pursuits on- and off-screen, Robbie is said to have a net worth upwards of $US60 million, or $85 million in Australia.
In 2023, Variety reported the Aussie star took home a whopping $US50 million for Barbie thanks to salary and box office bonuses.
“I will never sell my soul for a paycheck,” she once told Vanity Fair in an interview in 2014.
“I don’t need the money because I’m not extravagant.”

Staying grounded
Robbie is generous with her money, even paying off her mother’s mortgage when she rose to fame.
“Everything I owed my mum, I had it written down. She’d take money out of the house mortgage [to] lend me money,” she told CBS Sunday Morning.
“So I always knew, I was like, ‘I gotta pay that back’.
“And then one day, when I made enough money, I just paid that whole mortgage off completely.”
Margot has said in the past that she will be ”eternally grateful” for Neighbours, the show that gave her a start.
“I owe so much to Neighbours,” she told The Sun.
“There are so many of us that owe [the show] for giving us a big break.
“It wasn’t just about giving me a break either. It gave me a real chance to work on my craft.
” It was the perfect training for Hollywood and I will always be eternally grateful.”
