Luann de Lesseps, the ever-so-dramatic face of Real Housewives of New York, decided to attempt a viral challenge, inspired by the rap queen herself, Nicki Minaj. The picture was posted on Instagram with a caption that read, “Challenge accepted Queen 👑 @nickiminaj.” This must have put the internet to some debate.

The challenge: assuming a posture with one leg passed after the other while balancing – if possible – all without any assistance. Many have attempted it, few actually pulled it off. Luann’s version? Oh, the evil debate was right there; she held onto her oar for balance.
‘One of the only people who have done it PROPERLY, BOTH feet need to be on the ground,’ one person added. Then another said, ‘but she’s using the oar for balance so not really hahaha.’ The debate went onwards, some stood for her (‘still looks better than most’), while others flat-out accused her of cheating (‘no it’s cheating lol’).
Others couldn’t wait to double down on Luann’s debaucheries: ‘Come on Lu we wanna see you do this on top of the yacht,’ joked several users. To which others replied in kind, ‘bring the mega yacht💋’ and ‘we got the yatch, Sön!!🛥️.’ I mean if anyone is doing this kind of stunt…it has got to be on a yacht.
Others used the opportunity to dream of wacky collabs. ‘Need a Nicki verse on Money Can’t Buy You Class xoxoxo😍,’ exclaimed one user and set the other users on a frenzy, declaring it ‘iconic.’ Meanwhile, another user was all like, ‘Is the challenge here in the room with us?’—because really, Luann’s version was more like a hint than a full-blown commitment.
More of the blunt sort would have been like: ‘0/10 no balance shakey and the heels are sixteen seasons ago,’ went the review of one very honest critic. Another simply said, ‘You didn’t do it right,’ and the other just laughed, ‘Hahahahaahaha ummm nice try, but FAIL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.’
Of course, there were always going to be Luann-lovers defending her works: ‘Ofcourse the countess nails it! @nickiminaj would be proud. 2 NY queens,’ gushed one fan, solidifying that no matter how iffy the execution, Luann charms her way through.
Technical or not, one thing’s for sure- Luann keeps the conversation going. And really, that is what viral trends are all about, right?

Meanwhile, The Countess is totally unbothered, the internet remains entertained, and Nicki Minaj… has yet to say a word about it. But if she ever does, that will really be official.
