On Monday April 14, the first presale for Lady Gaga‘s Aussie leg of the Mayhem Ball began.
The tour marks the first time Gaga has made her way Down Under in 11 years and fans were initially ecstatic about the news.
However, after battling it out for tickets in the initial presale on Monday, the excitement seems to have worn off for many.

Gaga is known to put on a show when she performs, going all out on her production, so fans weren’t expecting tickets to be cheap.
However, after the initial presale, fans were shocked and not exactly happy when they saw the price of tickets, with many even claiming dynamic pricing was turned on.
Dynamic pricing basically means the price of tickets will change based on demand, so if the demand for tickets is high, prices will soar.

“Won the lady gaga ticket war but at what cost (a big f— you to dynamic pricing),” wrote one fan on X (formerly Twitter).
“Got melb lady gaga tickets But goddamn f— dynamic pricing, this shouldn’t be allowed,” echoed another on the platform.
However, despite fan reactions, a Ticketmaster spokesperson has denied dynamic pricing was used.
“Ticketmaster does not have surge pricing or dynamic algorithms to adjust ticket prices,” a spokesperson for the company tells 9honey Celebrity.
“Tickets were priced in advance of the sale and set at the individual seat level.”
On the Ticketmaster Discover website, the Live Updates page for the Mayhem Ball ticket sales states that tickets, including VIP packages, had been priced in advanced “by the tour” and range from $113.06 to $1581.12.

The second presale for tickets begins on Wednesday April 16, with general on sale tickets released the following day on Thursday April 17.
Plenty of Aussie fans are hoping to snag an affordable ticket in the upcoming sale, however if the initial presale was anything to go by, it looks like ticket prices will remain pretty high.
