Aussie singer Delta Goodrem has revealed that she is among the many who have had to evacuate LA after wildfires razed through the city.
The singer took to her Instagram stories to share her thoughts and an update.
“I love this beautiful city. It has always been a home away from home for me. My heart is broken and the feeling in the smoke filled air is devastating. Praying for everyone,” the 40-year-old shared in the first slide, along with a photo of the fires in the background.

“They say keep on praying/And we’re waiting for all the rain/Let it rain here today/Can it rain here today?”
Goodrem originally wrote the song in 2020 after seeing the devastation from the bushfire season in Australia, with the situation in LA now resembling what we see Down Under regularly.
“I wrote this song about an hour ago after seeing yet another video of the firefighters continuing to fight the fires for us,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

“The extremes that many families are experiencing leaves me with no words. I send all my love and I am praying everyday.”
She eventually released the song for sale, with all proceeds going to bushfire relief. Within three hours of it’s release, it topped Australian iTunes charts.
