Kyle Sandilands has had another outburst on air, claiming the Kyle and Jackie O show was “not over,” after he took a sick day yesterday.
On Friday on his show, the radio host ripped into media reports that he had been taken off air, explaining that he had a sick day because he had a rough night with his baby.
His sick day came a few days after an on-air argument with his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who then took the rest of the week off to recoup.
“I haven’t vanished, everyone”, Sandilands said as the show went to air today.
“According to the newspapers, The Kyle and Jackie O Show was over, and I vanished.”
“It just goes to show you can never believe what you read in any of the newspapers. I feel they may have had their phones cut off; no one even rang to check.”
Nine.com.au did reach out to ARN yesterday, the company that owns KIIS, which confirmed that the co-host had taken a sick day.

He added that his son was sick and was coughing all night.
“It was a hard night [with the baby]; every time he coughed I sort of [woke up], then I had a headache.”
He said it was “hard enough” to do the show on a good day, let alone after a night of “broken sleep.”
He then quickly moved on to discussing the Bardot reunion, trying to get on with the show.
On Wednesday, Kyle did the show alone, with his producers jumping in to fill Jackie O’s absence.
In the episode, he said he regretted hurting her feelings and denied their argument was a “publicity stunt”.
On February 20, Henderson and Sandilands got into a tense argument after Henderson took time out of a segment to read from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s astrology birth chart.
While the host seemed excited to share her findings, Sandilands quickly shut her down.
“Your fixation on this has made you almost unworkable,” he told his co-host live on air.
“You are off with the fairies with this s–t, it’s mental.”
He said her fixation on astrology charts made her like a “drug addict”, knowing Henderson has faced addiction struggles before.
He also claimed it had started to affect her work, going so far as to say she didn’t know what was going on during some segments.

“You are not doing the rest of the job, and everyone in this building has mentioned it to me,” Sandilands said.
“Everyone has said, ‘What’s going on with Jackie? She’s off today.”
“You don’t know what the f–k is going on all the time, because you’re looking at that phone, playing in the stars, and it’s ridiculous,” he added.
“You can enjoy that, but you can’t take over your whole life.”
The pair have been friends for more than two decades, and have hosted a radio show together since 2004.
