A lot of feelings had been stirred when Kofi Kingston said that he and Xavier Woods were, without a shadow of a doubt, the real money in the WWE, regardless of who holds the Money in the Bank briefcase. The tweet, bearing very flashy money emoji images, received praises, jeers, and even hilarious grammar corrections.

Kingston posted: “Y’all don’t get it… Irregardless of who has the briefcase, WE ARE THE MONEY! 💵 💰 🤑 #ThankGodForTheNewDay.” Immediately it became a buzz, as many users were quick to point out that the word is essentially NOT a correct word to use. “Irregardless? See now, if y’all were still with Big E, you wouldn’t have typed that word,” said one fan, in reference to their former teammate Big E’s love for proper grammar. Another said it was “the most heinous act you’ve committed since turning heel.”

Other days would go so far to claim Kingston’s unwavering pride, to some were displeasure with Kingston’s commentary and attitude towards The New Day and the WWE world. One blunt response came right in: “Ain’t no one cashing in on your washed ass unc,” while another shot back, “Literally everyone flips to another stream when you 2 are on tv. No one cares Kof.” These have become some of the sore points for the family of fans of their heel turn and supremacy on the tag situation. Rants on frustrations came in with one, for instance, begging, “Big ol heel turn just to be stuck right back in the tag division. Must feel great.” Then, there were the loyalists, with one cheering, “THANK GOD FOR THE NEW DAY ❤️ (my sign when I saw you guys at Raw in Dec. 🤙🏻).”

There were also complaints from a few fans concerning the frequent overhauls made to Xavier Woods‘ hair, with one recalling, “Tell Xavier Woods to just get some fucking Locs already bro. I’m tired of him hairstyle shopping.” Alongside that, another fan shared an elegy, “Everything been downhill since the Big E segment,” referring to that bittersweet moment when Big E was written off television because of injury.

The probability of agreement was nearly split in half, yet Kingston was immensely confident that The New Day has earned their share of notoriety. A rather infamous team for their wit, record-breaking number of tag title reigns, The New Day is very much a bimodal phenomenon in WWE. Whether the fans love them or hate them, hate could never stop one thing from being forced upon them: The New Day Drew The Line. Now, for those in the grammar police… Well, irregardless of their opinion, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will very well be laughing all the way to the bank.
