Kim Kardashian has ushered in a momentous occasion, and, of course, the Internet has an opinion about it. The reality television star turned businessman shared a celebratory post announcing her graduation from law school with a caption that read, “Graduating class of 2025 🎓 ⚖️🍾”. Yet, what caused such an uproar was the video that accompanied it-an empowering Supergirl-themed soundtrack that so fittingly tells her story.

Kim is seen floating in the clouds amidst lyrics such as, “I’m a super girl, and I’m here to save the world,” a pretty clear hinting at her new career path in criminal justice reform. Over the past few years, Kim has been studying law in California through the apprenticeship program, stimulated by her work with the Innocence Project. Kim has said she would like to use the platform for change-even forcing herself through the baby bar exam several times before passing in 2021.
The moment she uploaded the video, celebrities and fans alike bestowed her with instant reactions. One admirer proclaimed, “The most inspirational woman!! Love you Kim!!” while another used half-jokingly to describe Kim as the “First Barbie that studies Law 🎀, with a wink to her iconic Barbiecore looks and newly acquired law skills.” This was followed by a flurry of warm congratulations, playful insults, and another responding jokingly with, “For those asking which school… The Kardashian School of Law. Duh.”
Some had reservations as to whether it was an official celebration. “Wait, so this wasn’t for #NorthWest? But for you?! 😂Girl!!!”, says a witty comment referring to Kim’s daughter and the jokes about the Kardashian children growing way too fast. Another more mature one followed after, saying: “Now you got to pass the bar exam,” because graduation is merely one step towards being a practicing attorney.
The Supergirl vibes found the mark, many commented on the choice of song. “Ok this song 😍 my libra heart is radiating in the whole entire brand cohesiveness,” one fan said, crossing boundaries of astrology. Others compared it to the Princess Diaries soundtrack. The lyrics about breaking down fear and saving the world seem too fitting to be a coincidence, so they ironically soundtrack Kim’s public odyssey from reality star to star lawyer-in-the-making.
Several comments mentioned Kim’s late father, Robert Kardashian, an attorney who went famous for the O.J. Simpson trial. “You did it Kim. Robert smiles from above heaven” and “Congratulations Kim your dad is proud of you” referenced that she is walking in his footsteps. That would be full-circle and give a much deeper meaning to her endeavors in the legal profession.
This, without a vintage lawyer undertone that results from being famous in modern days. Everybody would love to dictate a word or two. A would-be client, on the other hand, demanded legal aid for her mom’s awful case in all caps, and someone else dropped a vaguely rude joke about “giving her the best minute of her life.” Welcome to the Kim Kardashian comment section, where pure chaos meets sincere integrity.
That makes it far more impressive: she graduated from California’s alternative path through the Law Office Study Program, which requires four years of supervised study in lieu of your standard law school. Kim has been running several businesses, raising her four kids, and embarking in many other entertainment incrowd projects, all while rushing through this curriculum. Say what you want about Kardashians, but you cannot deny the hustle.

Next on the agenda: Getting that California Bar Exam behind her and being able to go out and practice as an attorney. Not many are betting against her, especially because she is seldom one to back down from a challenge (remember she failed the baby bar twice before finally passing?). Whether she starts taking cases in earnest or just parlay’s her new legal status into a formidable voice for the causes she cares about is anyone’s guess, but either way, it stands as a testament to the fact that you never really are too old to reinvent yourself-Cap, gown, and Supergirl soundtrack optional.
