If there are in fact to be any talks about Durant opting for a new organization, it would come as a shock to anyone who heard it. A very abstract report had the basketball world very excited in speculating about whether the Phoenix Suns star may have had conversations with the San Antonio Spurs in regard to a potential landing.

The initial article, piecing it together, suggests that Durant has “a tremendous amount of say”‘ in where he goes, meaning that the Spurs were part of those conversations. This source was left unnamed but the mere mention gave shockwaves to fanbases already dealing very seriously with blockbuster off-season scenarios.
Reactions followed after.
