Kari Lake, the out-of-office candidate for the Arizona gubernatorial post, has just unleashed a tweet that has people really stirred up-all the way to arguing-about election security and voter rolls and if she was cheated. Again. The post-alluding a settlement concerning their unverified voters from Arizona-has also earned a few cheers, conspiracy theories, and straight-up anger from all across the political divide.

The tweet says that almost 50,000 unverified voters in Arizona could have cast ballots in federal elections, dubbing it “troubling,” and framing an clearly settlement over voters rolls as “a good start” to fixing the system. And that didn’t leave much to be said: “long way to go” in cleaning the so-called “mess.”
And boy, did they come in hot.
Some went so far as to say straight, like @Karen261977, “You WON and We all know it. It’s very upsetting.” Others, such as @AZJen8, added, “I watched the votes get counted and recounted until Lake lost,” but there was still @todd_wixson, who went further, demanding all dead and relocated voters to be purged from the rolls.
But not everyone agreed. @Uncleboob243037 said, “You’re just a dirtied person.” @Peter8347270598 made a vague post about deleted posts from Australia. (What?)
The conspiracy crowd also turned up. @eezzrydr wondered whether “20+ million American social security recipients age 100-369” voted in 2020, which … okay, new one. Meanwhile @ jUStlCeGanesh opened it all up into drama, calling arrest for corrupt judges involved in aiding election fraud.
Most classic Twitter, though, would just emoji avatarize (@zhengdao0707 with “4.19💪💙💪”) or celebrate a one-word reaction such as WOW (@GershonHaston) and Geez (@StevensonG44650).
In the words of the fierce and relentless Lake supporters, “You were robbed twice!” boldly claimed @HelgaDent, while @carrol_bradshaw charged that she has been posting audit demands daily because “they stole the election from you.” Keeping it rather short and spicy, but @Lbs122955 added even more: “Democrats steal elections.”
But perhaps the most poetic of all came from @drjbrenthayes, who told Lake, “Become Obi Wan Kenobi. If Vader strikes you down, you will become more powerful.” Deep.

It is clear, however, that this taps into the bitter well of frustration that is her following among those who still think her losses were anything but legitimate. Time will tell whether this settlement indeed changes anything in the Arizona election system, but for now, the debate is hotly contested and, historically speaking, this debate is not dying down anytime soon.
