Jessica Simpson recently split from former NFL star, Eric Johnson, after ten years of marriage.
And this week, the singer, 45, who has just made a music comeback, made a cheeky quip about dating during a red carpet interview.
Speaking to Extra, she admitted: “I think I’m into younger men at the moment.”

“When you’re newly separated… I feel like younger guys kinda like the confidence of an older women, I’m discovering,” she added, while on the red carpet of All’s Fair.
“I am having fun.”
Simpson, who is known for hits including I Wanna Love You Forever, With You and Irresistible, confirmed her shock split from former NFL star Eric Johnson earlier this year.

”Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” the mother-of-three told People
“Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them.
“We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”
Before her marriage to Johnson, she was married to 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey.
They were married for nearly four years, tying the knot in 2006.
Simpson then met Johnson at the party of a mutual friend in 2010, according to her 2020 memoir Open Book.
The pair made their relationship public that July and got engaged in November, before marrying on July 5, 2014.
Now, after three kids and the couple’s separation, Simpson has just made her big return to music and released the EPs Nashville Canyon and Nashville Canyon Part 2.

She performed live for the first time in 15 years at the Recording Academy’s Austin Chapter Block Party at SXSW earlier this year.
“Last night, was my first performance in 15 years,” she wrote in her post.
“It was an emotional coming back home to the best part of myself. Thank you for embracing me. You know that I have so much to say, but this lucky voice gets to soar again tonight. I love y’all. More to come…”
