As the dust settles following the falling out between Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O, the two main players in the saga remain largely out of sight.
But while Sandilands and Jackie, whose real name is Jasqueline Henderson, are quietly licking their wounds and planning next steps, a small circle of close friends and advisors are believed to be by their sides.
Among them are Henderson’s self-described ‘bestie’ Gemma O’Neill, while in Sandilands’ corner is his former girlfriend Imogen Anthony.
The pair’s long-running show started off like any other on February 20, before an innocuous segment about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest set off a chain of events.
As Henderson read out snippets from Mountbatten-Windsor’s astrology chart – something that had become a hobby for her in recent times – Sandilands snapped, accusing her of spending too much time on the stars, and not enough time on other areas of her work.
“You’re off with the fairies,” he said. “You are unfocused, you don’t give a s–t. Everyone in this building has mentioned it to me.

“It’s affecting other things. Your fixation on this has made you almost unworkable.”
Henderson responded immediately. ”I’m totally offended by you saying something like that… That’s so unfair,” she said.
But as Henderson became emotional, Sandilands doubled down.
“Well, too bad. It’s too much. It’s affecting everything else. You’re too fixated on it. Every segment, every time you’ve spoken, you don’t even know what’s going on.
“You are not doing the rest of the job and everyone in this building has mentioned it to me.”
Henderson labelled the comments ”a total attack”.
Henderson did not come to work the next day, or the following week.
Then on Tuesday came the bombshell announcement that she would not be returning to the show, in a statement released by KIIS 106.5 owner Australian Radio Network (ARN).
It said Henderson was leaving as she could no longer work with her co-host, while Sandilands has 14 days to “remedy” the breach of “serious misconduct” or his contract would be terminated.
While there is much speculation about what will happen next, both Henderson and Sandilands are being supported both publicly and in private by their friends.
Gemma O’Neill – Jackie
Henderson’s self-described ‘bestie’ Gemma O’Neill is among those offering support to the broadcaster, both professionally and personally.
O’Neill is not only Henderson’s talent manager but her best friend and business associate behind their We are Besties initiative and podcast.
The media executive and talent manager started her career in radio working the front desk of 2Day FM, while she was still at school. It was here she first met Henderson.
She later became a producer on Kyle and Jackie O show during its time at the station.
From there, she worked for Nicole Kidman as her personal assistant, before returning to Australia and a major role at 2Day FM.
In 2022, she set up her own talent management company, Gemmie Agency.
She negoiated Henderson’s 10-year $100 million contract to host the Kyle and Jackie O show until 2033.
Together, the two also set up We are Besties, which started out hosting events, and their podcast, Her Best Life, which Henderson stepped down from recently.
It was O’Neill who Henderson credited in her memoir for getting her into a drug rehabilitation treatment centre.
“I believe she saved my life, I actually do,” she said. “And I think we all need a friend like that.”
This week, O’Neill was seen visiting Henderson at her home in the wake of the events that stunned the media world.
While Henderson’s bond with Sandilands is over, the woman who “saved her life” in 2022 is once again by her side for the longhaul.
Steve Cordonay – Jackie
Hours after news broke that Henderson would be leaving the KIIS FM show, she was spotted at a sound medicine class and wellness studio with her friend, Steve Cordony.
He’s a renowned interior stylist and close friends with P.E Nation founder Pip Edwards – who is also very good friends with Henderson.
Cordony was by her side as she was questioned by waiting reporters about her on-air row.
The class itself was said to be “a shamanic journey that stimulates life force and action by awakening our inner fire and warrior archetype.”
It’s clear this friendship is one that’s allowing Henderson to finally lean into the interests that cost her a 27-year partnership with Sandilands.
Pip Edwards – Jackie
Another famous face in Henderson’s corner is fashion designer Pip Edwards.
The two have been friends for a number of years but became even closer in 2023 after Henderson invited her to join her on one of her and O’Neill’s Besties trips to Fiji.
Since then, they have been photographed together hanging out, enjoying meals and even celebrated New Year’s Eve together in 2025.
In 2024, Edwards opened up about their friendship during a segment on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
When Henderson revealed her battle with drink and drugs, Edwards gave a statement to Stellar about her friend.
“Jackie O is one of the most humble, interested, invested females I’ve ever met. Who she is and how she speaks, she’s that on the street,” she said.
“We’re spiritually aligned, emotionally connected. It’s honest.
“I think that really shines through in how we interact, even if it’s on Instagram. I just will forever have her back.”
Edwards is thought to have also been behind Henderson’s growing interest in astrology and tarot cards.
Bruno Bouchet – Kyle
Everyone needs a Gemma in their life, and for Sandilands, that person is Bruno Bouchet.
Bouchet first worked with Sandilands as a guest and talent producer on the Kyle and Jackie O show from 2010 to 2012.
He later worked for the duo again before walking away from the job in 2018, in part to protect his relationship with his wife, Laura, who was a producer on a rival show.
His close friendship with Sandilands saw him take up the role of his manager as well as managing director of King Kyle Group and director of the Kyle and Jackie O show.
During a segment on the show in 2024, he revealed that being Sandiland’s right-hand man could be tough at times.
“When Kyle calls, it could be anything,” Bouchet said. “It could be a three-hour chat about the news. It could be he’s lost on the border of the US and Mexico.”
Like O’Neill did for Henderson, Bouchet was this week seen visiting Sandilands at his home this week after the bombshell announcement hit headlines.
Imogen Anthony – Kyle
A surprise inclusion in the list of Sandilands’ supporters is his former girlfriend, Imogen Anthony.
The duo were together for eight years before calling it quits, but it seems Anthony still has a lot of love for her former flame.
Anthony took to Instagram this week to throw her support behind the star.
“With everyone hoping that Kyle gets cancelled, this man also still helps me look after over 100 rescued animals,” she wrote.
“Kyle often says the wrong thing. I spent eight years with this man, but I also understand Jackie being an outspoken Aquarian.
“I have also seen how much he has taken Jackie along every step of the way and ensured that she was treated fairly.
“I’m upset for both of them to be completely honest and hope they can just snap the f–k out of it.”
Anthony, now 35, first met Sandilands when she was invited to his 40th birthday party.
Despite a 20-year age gap, they were together for eight years, before splitting in 2019 after growing apart.
In 2025, she told the A Bit Rogue podcast things were not good when they first broke up.
“We had nothing in place when we split,” she said, before adding she eventually received a Southern Highlands property as a settlement.
She uses the property as a base for the Crimson Peak Animal Sanctuary she runs.
