Gordon Ramsay has released a bona fide culinary masterpiece, which has become subject to much debate. The celebrity chef shared an image on social media of what could be his best scallop offering to date: pickled carrots, sea buckthorn, and Oscietra caviar-from the softer end of the palate description: “A lovely vibrant taste for summer” at his restaurant @restaurantgordonramsay. If the shouting going on in the front rows of the social media is any indication of the story, the people are just nuts about this dish.

This image is so strong it can make anybody salivate. Being a feast for the eyes, the perfectly pan-seared scallops glisten over an orangey brightness of a sauce, interspersed with yellow sea buckthorn berries and shiny black pearls of caviar. The aggressive crunch from the pickled carrots acts in sharp contrast to the tingling greens and edible flowers, finishing them off like a page from a glossy food magazine. It’s a dish that leaves you questioning whether you should eat it or just frame it.
The comments? This is where all chaos begins to unfold. One user described it as “a beautiful edible fruity wreath on a plate,” and in all fairness, it is. Another joke went on about wanting Ramsay to make lickable wallpaper because normal food is no longer going to do. Then, another user had been begging for 254 days to be hired-dedication or desperation; you pick.
But really, that is the general mood? Too many of them said it looked “too good to eat.” That is fair. You want to almost feel guilty every time you grab a bite on food that immaculate. Almost. Another overachiever casually comments about eating that after Ironman 70.3 like it was his everyday post-race snack. Sure, Jan.
Occasionally, others are not understandable. But another account just spammed with random numbers and words; that one we are going to try to ignore. But the general consensus? That dish is art. Another could put it that way: “That’s not a dish, it’s edible art!” And indeed, it says all that needs saying.
Ramsay may be infamous for being a tempest in the kitchen, but this post alone proves the man can blend fine art with gastronomy. Having a taste of this plate; whether you take pride in calling yourself a foodie or just an avid appreciator of artistry, you have a winner right there. So, who is booking their plane ticket first to embark on this highlight?
Side note: For anyone who snaps photos of their food before eating, this dish was literally made for you. Not shameful at all. We would all be doing the same.

So yet again, Ramsay gets the crown. One more day, one more dish that just makes the rest of us ask if we bother cooking at home at all.
