Best known for her soulful voice and retro-inspired music, Duffy rose to fame with her 2008 debut album ‘Rockferry’, which featured the hit singles ‘Warwick Avenue’, ‘Stepping Stone’, ‘Rain On Your Parade’ and the aforementioned ‘Mercy’ – which peaked at number-one on the Official UK Singles Chart, and remained there for five weeks.
The album was a massive success, earning her a GRAMMY Award for Best Pop Vocal Album and multiple BRIT Awards, including Best British Female Solo Artist.
It’s follow up ‘Endlessly’ followed in 2010, and spent a total of fifteen weeks in the Top 100 UK album chart.
In 2015, Duffy made a cameo in the crime thriller film Legend, playing American singer Timi Yuro and also contributed three songs to the soundtrack.
Five years later she shared two unreleased tracks as a treat for fans, ‘Something Beautiful’ and ‘River In The Sky’ on her Instagram.
