Duane “Dog” Chapman and his wife, Francie Frane, have been sharing snippets of their interstate couple tale, which took them from Colorado to Florida, with some time in Georgia. As they were just about to hit their five-year anniversary last September, the couple reflected with intensity in an Instagram post on the road less traveled for them, receiving an immense reaction from the followers.

The video that accompanied the post had Chapman and Frane reminiscing about those newlywed days along the Gulf in Naples, admitting that maybe they chased some island vibes that Chapman had missed out on a quarter of a century in Hawaii. Florida humidity and bugs were a far cry from the promised paradise. “Little did I know that it’s 100 and plus percent here,” Chapman chuckled, comparing the intensity of the Florida sun to what he had been used to with those Hawaiian trade winds.
With the two couples, it was revealed that The Dog Foundation was also conceived in Florida, a venture very dear to both of them. Their love kept growing amid so many headaches in adjusting to the lifestyle; Frane zipped a smile, “The worst is behind us.”
Fans stepped up to defend them with their own tales about the Florida heat. “The older I get, the more I hate the heat,” said an older native Floridian, while another recommended barbecue places now that the couple was in Georgia.
Some chose to ridicule, though. One poster said, “Did you guys not visit a few different places before choosing?” While another basically said, “Seems to be all about what she wanted,” thereby stirring the pot.
More in number were the overflowing responses showering these two with love and admiration for their enduring love. Some fans even went as far to say that they named their son after the late Leland, a testament to how much this family had touched their lives.
Settling into the Georgia life, Chapman and Frane are embracing yet another chapter of their life: humidity and bugs being welcomed with open arms. And judging from their socials, this story still has many chapters to be told.

So whether it’s Florida heat or Georgia humidity, a few other things are certain: this couple does not sweat over sideways on the small stuff; they are too busy living their love story, documented by one post each.
