Conan Gray celebrates ‘Vodka Cranberry’ and music video release at The Garage

    -

Conan Gray continues his journey to Wishbone with latest single ‘Vodka Cranberry’ continuing to point to the artist’s most enticing project to date.

The singer/songwriter cut his teeth on coming of age pop hits before diving into a goody bag of 80s tricks on 2024 record Found Heaven. Now, Gray straddles the ambition of his most recent project with the rawness that marked his early rise.

‘Vodka Cranberry’ follows on from lead single ‘This Song’ ahead of the record’s release on August 15. A four-minute heartbreak epic, on the track Gray begs his significant other to pull the chord.

The single lands with another music video starring the singer alongside Corey Fodelmanis as the two pick up from the storyline of ‘This Song’. The pair head on a road trip but feelings have clearly changed, as an inevitable end hangs over their journey.

Gray celebrated the release of the single with an intimate acoustic set at The Garage in London on Friday evening. Quite the contrast to last year’s Wembley Arena headline, the singer treated the crowd to renditions of both new singles as well as older fan favourites.

After the performance, Gray settled down for a Q&A with BBC Radio 1 presenter Maia Beth. As well as opening up on the process of the new record, Gray shared his favourite Nando’s order and a newfound love for Percy Pig confectionery.
