Coldplay has now revealed the last batch of tickets for its upcoming Seoul show, and the internet is going busy. The band’s tweet was just a link for buying the sweet tickets together with a short announcement but the responses? Total madness. Visa woes, cries begging for shows in Mexico – and now the comments section has morphed into a therapy session for angry concertgoers:

Logistics, logistics and nothing but logistics headaches. A user called Dr. Maleficent described the strife pretty aptly: ‘I am going to buy the ticket but what about visa, flight tickets and leave from work? Hypothetically even if I manage all of this my mom will give me a slap and tell me to study.’ Ugh. That last line hit too close to home for many people indeed. Dawn came with support but, let’s be honest – that kind of disapproval tingles in our boners.
Users talking about immigration problems made it a serious matter. A Thai fan just let it off hard on his Facebook page: ‘Many Korean immigration officers have denied Thai tourists entry into Korea unreasonably. It is being the hot issue among Thai people; so at the present time Korea is not a country to which we want to put much value in regard of travel. We do not want to waste money for a country that people are so racist.’ That is where the argument went ahead into a full discussion about passport privilege and boundaries for travel, which, honestly, wasn’t what anyone expected under a Coldplay tweet, but here we are.
Oh, and the Twice fans came out in hordes. There was a lot of screaming in several comments about “Ada TWICE cuy,” which means “There’s Twice, dude,” for those of us who may not be Indonesian speakers, and of course it was just about how much intense cross-fandoming existed between Coldplay fans and Twice fans. Somebody even called it the “best lineup ever tbh… Elyanna, twice, and Coldplay… somebody take me to Seoul right now.” Can’t argue with that enthusiasm.
Some very personal requests also came out. Phillip really wished to play ‘Postcards From Far Away’ as a segue into Paradise, and he is not ashamed to mention it…twice. Chris Martin should take note on this one. Another fan begged ‘Please tell me Jin is joining you’, underlining that BTS fans are not going to manifest their dreams anywhere, anytime.
There was quite a bit of geographical fear of missing out. ‘YAAA VENGAN A MEXICO’ screeched one user, while another asked ‘Come back to DR!’ and a third howled ‘Shows solos no BRASIL!!’ Well, these replies on Coldplay’s tour planners’ desks were no longer hypotheticals.
But there were also some light moments, like Lozza, who said: ‘I want to be there so bad but can’t wait to see you again (for the 3rd time) in London!!!.’ That is what we call serious dedication. And the very simple comment ‘Twice forever’? Just pure, uncomplicated love.
There was also a good dose of hilarious self-actualization from the remark, ‘Insane. I want this type of schedule next time lol’, had this by one overworked fan while another commented, ‘We miss seeing Will’s drawings because apparently, even with concert madness, people do remember the little things.’

Because as the link for tickets passes through, while imagining and dreaming about having Seoul, one thing was clear – Coldplay’s fan base is just as zealous as ever. And yes, they are all about clashing against immigration policies or simply sharing their prayer wishes in home shows or not being able to be grounded by parents; really, it is heaven and earth for these fans to have the chance to hear ‘Yellow’ in person. The big question is how many of them scored tickets before they disappeared out into the digital void?
