The announcement that Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes would fight next week in the semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament soon overwhelmed the WWE Fans. The match will be a pure roller-coaster ride of emotions as two best friends will get into a life-or-death fight for a shot at the crown.

The tension in the atmosphere was already thick at Monday Night Raw, with Cody making a grandiose appearance to keep Seth Rollins from interfering with Uso’s match. An electrifying moment was gifted to everyone after that with someone observing, ‘Cody was so tough that Seth had to back down’. Then flowed a stream of responses, including some odd oceaning about dental hygiene.
This match has an extra layer of sadness attached to it because it was never a normal one to Cody and Jey. Teddy themselves have worked as partners and have been considered close friends by many within the WWE circles. If you are up for a friendship story, a championship storyline, or just want to see two of WWE’s biggest stars in a storyline, then this match will give you. Plus, there is so much more; these matches will pave the way toward future stories: a Cody win marks him for a big match at Night of Champions, whereas a Jey win may be liberating for him as a solo star, far away from The Bloodline.

In lay terms, the creative team has done an excellent job of explaining all the other line-ups that feed into this singular act, so irrespective of who wins, it is bound to be as juicy as the match itself. Up until now, a lot of emotions and speculations are running around, but the fact is that no matter when these two best friends turned foes step into the ring, next week, every member of the WWE universe goes to have their eyes glued onto every movement.
