Charlie Sheen is set to tell all in a new two-part documentary to air on Netflix next month, titled aka Charlie Sheen.
With the announcement overnight also came the trailer, showing a now-sober Sheen reflecting on the highs and lows of his career before revealing nothing will be off limits.
“I can’t imagine being my dad, I have really hurt the people I love,” Sheen said at one point in the preview, talking about his famous father, actor Martin Sheen.

There are a number of the 59-year-old’s nearest and dearest featured in the Andrew Renzi-directed project, including actor Sean Penn, ex-wife Denise Richards and former Two and A Half Men co-star Jon Cryer.
One of the actor’s five kids, Lola Sheen, also appears in the documentary.
However, not seen on screen are Martin Sheen and Charlie’s brother, actor Emilio Estevez, who support the project but “wanted to let Charlie have this moment”, Renzi said.
According to the streaming service, the documentary sees Sheen speak for the first time about “his early years growing up in Malibu, offering a rare perspective on a childhood spent at the intersection of Hollywood royalty and coastal suburbia”.

In addition to discussing his rise to mega stardom in the late ’80s and early ’90s and how his early success went to his head, he talks about his very public downfall as well.
“The stuff that I plan on sharing, I had made a sacred vow to only reveal to a therapist,” Sheen says in the trailer.
The actor is set to address “long-standing rumors and reflects on chapters of his life he’s rarely discussed publicly before”, according to the Netflix announcement.

Sheen is also releasing a memoir this year, with The Book of Sheen slated for a September 9 release, a day before the documentary drops.
aka Charlie Sheen will be available on the streaming giant from 5pm on September 10.
