Celine Dion has confirmed she is returning to the stage with a 10-stop tour
The news comes as a surprise – and to the delight of her fans – after she stepped away from performing to deal with significant health issues.
In a video posted to Instagram, the 58-year-old recorded a message for her birthday in both French and English, containing a gift for her fans.

“It’s been kind of hard keeping it a secret from myself, but I want to let you know that I’m doing great managing my health. I’m feeling good, I’m singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing, obviously, you know, I love it so much,” she said in the clip.
“But I have to tell you something very important.
“Over these last few years, every day that’s gone by. I felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love, even in my most difficult times. You were there for me. You’ve helped me in ways that I can’t even describe, and I’m truly so fortunate to have your support. I’ve missed you so much.”

The My Heart Will Go On singer continued, “This year I’m getting the best gift of my life. I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris beginning in September this year.
“I’m so happy. I’m so ready to do this. I’m feeling good, I’m, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously. Of course, a little nervous, but most of all, I am grateful to all of you. I can’t wait to see you again.”
The tour, named Celine Dion Paris 2026, will start on September 12 and will continue until October 14, running for 10 performances.
The singer dropped hints of her return earlier this week, with French-Canadian newspaper La Presse reporting the new shows over the weekend and posters being seen across Paris bearing the names of her songs.
She also took to Instagram to share a series of photos of herself in Paris, some dating back many years, perhaps hinting that a residency in the city of lights is imminent.
Dion was one of the most celebrated performers in the world before announcing her retirement in 2022 after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

The autoimmune disorder causes the immune system to attack a person’s own nervous system, interfering with the signals that typically help muscles relax.
As a result, the muscles go into a state of constant rigidity, with sudden, painful spasms that can be triggered by something as simple as a loud noise, a sudden movement, or stress.
Dion was due to restart a tour of North America in 2022 that had been postponed due to COVID when all dates were cancelled due to her suffering from severe muscle spasms.
She later announced she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome and cancelled the tour.
Since then, she has stayed largely out of the spotlight while she battled the incurable disease, only appearing on stage a handful of times, including the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.
