One of the media aspects that comes out of Bobbi Althoff is the very personal, open, and long list of resolutions she presented as the new year’s resolutions. Besides being a very humorous and self-reflective post it also drew a huge and divided reaction from the public who thus pointed out the significant public scrutiny that Althoff is still undergoing.

Bobbi Althoff’s New Year’s resolution is to take it to the people till 2026. The host and internet sensation, through a long list of resolutions, portrayed that she would transform her lifestyle and at last reveal her ‘quiet, excuse-filed 2025’ plan. The list was confessional, not very different from Althoff’s usual candidness, and very thorough. No more Postmates nor did the birth of their baby become one of the reasons she wouldn’t be able to smile. Basically, it was all about controlling her habits, time, and responses. ‘No more negative comments affecting me,’ she said and afterwards thanked those who were nice to her.

Not to mention that the comment section very quickly turned into a hub of activity, which very clearly showed the online ecosystem she is part of, though frequently weird and nonsensical, is also cruel. Supportive messages were definitely there. One user posted ‘Happy New Year!!’ and another one wrote ‘Been rooting for you since day 1.’ However, very soon these kind messages were buried under a flood of meanness that was either puzzlingly personal or utterly hateful. One user proposed that rather than her, the resolution should be ‘go away and go back to your family.’ Another person openly referenced some very old rumors about her personal life that had been disproved a long time ago. One more user, but this time, from a different account, simply remarked, ‘Another year of getting ran through.’

Among the sharp remarks, there were responses from people who tried to reason or to offer their sincere advice. ‘i’ve seen the wildest comments section on celebrities & don’t really get the hate here,’ one user said. The replies to that comment attempted to clarify the situation, and one of them was quite straightforward in saying ‘she broke up her family and filmed the entire saga,’ suggesting that the public nature of her past relationship’s end was a major factor of the animosity.

One of the responses was not only moving but also very perceptive, directly tackling the issue of New Year’s resolutions. ‘reminder that natures new year starts w the spring equinox,’ the user wrote. ‘We’re in the dead of winter, so if holding yourself to all these things right now seems like too much, it’s because we’re supposed to be resting & reflecting right now.’ It was a gentle, almost poetic counterpoint to the rigid self-improvement checklist, advocating for grace and natural cycles.

Most likely the most pragmatic advice was the one that was made up of just four simple words: ‘Read less comments in 2026.’ It is curious that Bobbi herself even gave a very brief reply saying ‘ok.’ The thread under this comment got larger with others urging her to ‘stop reading trolls comments’ and to keep reminding herself that ‘hater = fan’ in the distorted logic of online fame. Yet another supporter offered a more philosophical view when he or she said: ‘The truth is that you have all the power. If you can change your mind, you can change your life. You just need to be in control of your mind.’

One can easily observe how the massive amount and variety of responses draw a clear picture. Bobbi Althoff is in the limbo of a position where every personal statement is a public affair and is dissected with the same zeal by both fans and foes. Her resolution not to let negative comments influence her is perhaps the hardest one of her list of resolutions, especially considering the circumstances. Her post is a declaration of intention and a call to come out of a passive year and step into an active one. But the response it generated is a reminder that for a person in her situation, it is often the case that moving forward means going through a maze filled with others’ projections, judgments, and unresolved feelings about her very public saga. Whether Bobbi will be able to carry the ‘no more excuses’ slogan for 2026 over the line may be less about steering clear of Postmates and more about the mastery of blocking out the unending, chaotic choir that accompanies her every move. Her recent collaboration with Trevor Wallace sparked laughter and debate, while another wild podcast clip featured her hanging with Trevor Wallace. She also teased an upcoming Teddy Swims podcast appearance with a hilarious comment recap. Previously, Althoff faced backlash after a viral video sparked controversy with height and race comments.
