The ‘Back to the Future’ movie trilogy has perhaps through its hilarious and entertaining storyline, created a new realm of unreal time travel adventures. Now, Ali Manno‘s Little One has cruised back to the past to relate a very funny and at the same time very political Taylor Swift prediction. The former star of “The Bachelorette” shared a family moment commemorating the iconic day of ‘Back to the Future’. The mix of 80s nostalgia and the cultural phenomenon of 2024 were put together in one moment of a birthday cake.

The 21st of October was the date when Ali Manno commemorated the tenth anniversary of Marty McFly’s arrival in ‘Back to the Future Part II’. Her son went as the time-traveler, complete with a hoverboard that really worked, the red puffer vest that is his signature look and the whole thing. The most fun part, though, was/was his involvement in the video. The kid was very busy in the video and On screen he is the one who gets to be the time traveler receiving the message from 2055 and telling us about something surprising: ‘I just came back from 2055,’ the little boy proclaims, ‘and Taylor Swift is the president and LaBoubles are worthless.’
The very creative and currently relevant costume, depicted with the hashtags #BackToTheFuture and #taylorswiftforpresident, has effortlessly bridged the iconic film anniversary with the ongoing talk about the pop star’s political power. Manno who has become a family-oriented influencer since her reality show days has once again captured a moment that is very relatable not only to her followers but also to a wider audience.
The feedback from the audience was very rapid and very positive overall, with a lot of people commenting that they loved the performance of the child and the clever concept. One user was totally blown away, saying, ‘Omg I can’t handle this. Amazing!’ The comment probably expresses the familiar feeling of the viewers who thought that the mix of nostalgia and modern humor was simply irresistible.
Another viewer concentrated on the little actor’s charming comicality and his bubbly personality, saying, ‘He is sooo adorable! Just love his enthusiasm for life!’ This indicates that, indeed, the child’s true emotion was the force behind the entire concept, giving the fake news broadcast a flavor of both credibility and cuteness. No doubt, the naturalness of his performance was what really won over the public.
The question of how many times one would want to see the video again was discussed a lot too. One mother shared her story, saying, ‘My 7-year-old son just made me watch this about ten times.’ She points out how popular the clip is with many kids and thus making it also appealing to adults watching it due to the mix of plain humor and clever cultural references.
The most flattering compliment given, perhaps, was in connection with how the little boy looked just like the original film’s actor. A fan exclaimed, ‘This is AWEsOME!!! he is the twin of @realmikejfox.’ The comparison with a young Michael J. Fox shows how perfectly and the actor and the whole costume were executed to suit the new generation while keeping the spirit of the classic character alive.

By linking a plot point of a movie that is already 40 years old to such a contemporary personality as Taylor Swift, Ali Manno produced a piece of art that is both timeless and highly relevant. It is an indication of the constant influence of ‘Back to the Future’ and the different but vibrant way pop culture can come together to make something new and unforgettable. The post not only suggests a wonderful Halloween costume but also provides a humorous and light criticism of the existing state of fandom and speculation. It is a very entertaining glimpse into how families relate to the history of entertainment and add their own experience to it with a sprinkle of contemporary humor. This reminds many of Ana Navarro Cardenas’s recent experiences with celebrity generosity.
