The Manno family indulged in nostalgia by dressing up as the unforgettable characters from ‘Back to the Future’ which took the family back to the very year of 1985 and Halloween. The Family Manno, consisting of Ali Manno the previous star of Bachelorette, and her husband, shared photos of their family costume of which even a real DeLorean time machine was a part, declaring that the theme is about a family favorite movie and present-day via children’s life events. The switch has generated a lot of excitement among her fans who mostly mention the excessive detail along with the nostalgic factor as their reasons for being fond of it.

The family costumes showcased each of the characters and they were not easy to see. The man and the child in the photo were Ali Manno along with her daughter Riley. Manno revealed that they had done a more challenging Halloween theme this time, as they dressed up being the 80’s famous Hollywood movie the Manno family turned into the McFly family and the mad scientist Doc Brown from ‘Back to the Future’ included. Manno in her post said that it was the family’s yearly custom to relate their costumes to something significant in their lives. She added that this particular costume choice was ‘simply too good’.

Now they surely had one wild ride to pull off their Halloween celebration. They managed to acquire a replica of the iconic DeLorean from the movie for the shoot and Manno claimed it was ‘HIS DREAM’ her husband Kevin Manno. The car was such a big hit that everyone around wanted to get a glimpse and a photo with it. ‘We actually had people slowing down their cars to the side of the road and asking to take pictures with the car and us,’ she told. The commitment was really strong and the Manno family was having a moment that definitely deserved to go viral.

The costumes were the outcome of the most meticulous work. Ali Manno played Lorraine Baines, who is Marty McFly’s mother; she had dark hair that drew some attention from the commenters. Her little girl Riley was Marty McFly -very, perfectly, absolutely, and wonderfully the signature of the character- dressed in a red puffer vest and a hoverboard. The son, Owen was the George McFly while little Molly was the one with the wild hair who resembled a lot the crazy inventor Doc Brown. The father of the Manno family was probably also a version of George McFly, only less characterful.

The social media crowd reacted instantly and almost uniformly with great joy. One person summarized it saying: ‘Omg Marty, Doc, Lorraine & George you nailed it!’. The unanimous recognition of all the characters was the common thread running through different praises expressed in the comments. Another user not only identified the characters but even went further by suggesting, ‘Riley is the BEST Marty McFly!!! Molly is an Amazing Doc also!’

People shocked by the costumes could not believe such a great talent was hiding. ‘This is my favourite one,’ one follower thrilled that Manno family has a tradition of fantastic Halloween shows. Another one simply said it was the ‘Best family costume! I love this!’ The excitement was very much felt in the comments that included fire and heart-eye emojis.

Some fans came up with humorous and funny situations that they imagined as other possible scenarios. ‘How could Owen not be Einstein??’ a user jokingly asked pointing to Doc Brown’s dog. Another person portrayed the husband as the story’s villain, saying, ‘Hahah I kind of wish Kevin was biff. Hahaha.’ These humorous suggestions revealed how well the movie is known and how it continues to be a source of inspiration for people’s creative interpretations.

Someone who knew the exact places where the film was shot made a very insightful remark. ‘This is amazing, what a wonderful costumes, the JCPenney’s was at the La Puente mall in California, the place where I used to go shopping, the movie was filmed at Whittier high school where I went to school!!’ The comment reinforces the claim that ‘Back to the Future’ is an unending cultural classic and the Manno’s tribute is a little yet significant part of the audience that is aware of the film’s history.

The costumes proved by Funcostumes and the photography were done by Leigh Castelliphotography making sure the final product was as professional as it was full of feelings. Choosing one of the most loved films ever and executing the idea with such precision, Ali Manno and her family have made a Halloween memory that is both personally and widely celebrated. Their stepping out in ‘Back to the Future’ declares the timelessness of classic movies, especially with family and a real DeLorean.
