Adrienne Bailon is keeping it real about the unexpected challenges of menopause, and viewers are loving her honesty. An honest conversation panned out between the former Cheetah Girl and Angie Martinez on her show ‘In Real Life’ where Bailon poured out her experiences with violent hot flashes, IVF struggles, and the roller coaster of hormonal changes.

In the ancient Greek period, Bailon said that the crazy days were full of high mayhem, with appointments being held and no one able to dry her hair. “The woman was blow-drying my hair, and literally while she’s blow-drying she’s like, ‘It’s not drying,’” Bailon recalled. The makeup man stared at her face as her foundation began to melt, and in the midst of it all, she looked up her symptoms on Google. “I said, ‘Guys, I think I’m having a hot flash.’ When I turned around, the hairstylist started crying because she was so concerned.”

This was just the beginning of the troubles. Bailon shared her funny plight, claiming that she looked like a “cartoon character” while going through menopause-sweat dripping everywhere. She further revealed that the six-year long IVF treatment might have triggered her early menopause, a condition many women don’t even know about. “When you stop IVF, it triggers your body to believe that menopause is happening sooner than normal,” she added.

The comment section was heavily flooded with support and also with the various tricks and tips of surviving menopause. One comment would suggest buying a neck fan off Amazon, while another would recommend soy isoflavones to fight the heat. “These hot flashes are brutal,” complained one, “And in Miami? I may not leave the house until November!” Another joked, “The worst thing you could wear is something around your neck, so she’s actually holding up pretty good.”

The honest way Bailon told her story touched many people who have been in similar situations. “Same sis, the struggle is real,” wrote one, “44 here and SAME! It’s hell sent cause that’s what it feels like!”

Along Bailon’s way through menopause-talk, her fans believed she had excellent storytelling capabilities with some mood-lifting moments in among the heavy conversations. “Adrienne is such a good storyteller,” said one unveil. “I could’ve listened to you guys for hours!”

Bailon then spoke about her job and love life and beyond menopause. But it was those candid hormonal talks that got the wheels turning. From makeup tips (she did her own glam for the interview) to giggling through the madness with laughs.
