The Indian stock market will be closed on March 31, 2025, for Id-Ul-Fitr. In April 2025, BSE and NSE will be closed for 11 days, including weekends and holidays.

Stock Market Holiday Today: Stock Market in India will observe a public holiday on March 31st due to Islamic festival Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramadan Eid). It means all trading activities in all segments including equities, derivatives, debt, etc. will be closed.
Stock Market Holiday In April 2025
Indian stock market will remain close up to 11 days including weekends and public holidays in April. All trading activities won’t happen during the holiday, affecting investors and traders.
BSE and NSE will be closed on April 10, April 14, and April 18 for the public holidays of Mahavir Jayanti, Ambedkar Jayanti, and Good Friday, respectively, as per the NSE holiday list.
Trading on the equities segment takes place on all days of the week (except Saturdays and Sundays and holidays declared by the Exchange in advance).

Trading on the derivatives segment takes place on all days of the week (except Saturdays and Sundays and holidays declared by the Exchange in advance). The market timings of the derivatives segment are:
- Normal market / Exercise market open time: 09:15 hrs
- Normal market close time: 15:30 hrs
- Setup cutoff time for Position limit/Collateral value: 16:15 hrs
- Trade modification / Exercise market end time: 16:15 hrs
