Share Market Holiday Today: Indian stock market is closed today, April 18, on account of Good Friday, offering traders a much-needed long weekend break after weeks of high volatility. The NSE and BSE will remain closed. Trading will cease in all segments such as equities, equity derivatives, SLB (Securities Lending and Borrowing), and currency derivatives.
Both morning and evening sessions of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will be closed tomorrow.
Market will open next week on Monday as Good Friday holiday is being followed by Saturday and Sunday, which are permanent holidays.
There are 14 stock market holidays in 2025, and with Good Friday being today, eight more non-trading days remain for the year except weekends.

The Closing Session is held between 15.40 hrs and 16.00 hrs
