Ola Electric has been hitting the headlines lately for all the wrong reasons. Again, the brand landed in soup in Maharashtra. It has been reported that the state government has asked the RTO Department to shut down all the Ola Electric authorised dealerships as they have been operating without a valid trade certificate.
The report suggested that more than 74 Ola Electric showrooms have been operating nationwide without trade certificates. Now, the concerned authorities have taken action and decided to shut all of these non-trade-certified showrooms. The authorities also have seized over 192 scooters, the report said.

What is Trade certificate?

It helps the government to track vehicles sold through their dealership so that they can be registered in the state. If no such certificate, it is considered not illegal.
