Economic Survey 2024–25: The Economic Survey 2025 will be presented by Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday, January 31, ahead of the 2025 Union Budget. The survey is prepared by the Economic Division of the Department of Economic Affairs, under the leadership of the Chief Economic Advisor (CEA), V Anantha Nageswaran.
The Economic Survey offers an overview of India’s economic performance in previous years, its current state, and projections for the upcoming financial year.
The Economic Survey for 2023-2024 highlighted a drop in the unemployment rate and emphasized the economy’s resilience, among other key findings. “India’s real GDP grew by 8.2% in FY24, marking over 7% growth for the third consecutive year, fueled by consistent consumption demand and improving investment demand,” the survey reported.
