Chrissy Teigen and her family are among the thousands of California residents that have had to flee their homes in the wake of the California wildfires. The 39-year-old mother-of-four shared in her Instagram stories that she is “very scared” as she has had to evacuate her home with her four kids, pets, and her husband, EGOT-winner, John Legend.
The model and author shared multiple images in her Instagram stories late on Wednesday afternoon. The first shows a down-the-street shot of the raging wildfires in the hills. Teigen calls the scene a “hellscape”.
“I haven’t had the words, it is a hellscape,” she wrote. “We are okay as of right now, and I felt weird saying that with so many people we know and don’t know who are not ok. Thank you for reaching out.”
She concluded her message sharing how people who want to help can lend a hand to the efforts of helping those in need.
“Looking for any and all ways to help our community right now, please send anything you see. And god bless the firefighters and all first responders.
In another image, Teigen shares a selfie of herself in her closet packing, writing over the image, “This is surreal I’m very scared now. packing.”
Teigen continued sharing images as she, her husband, their four children, four dogs, and a bearded dragon, Sebastian, all settled into a hotel room.
“4 dogs, 4 kids and a [bearded] dragon walk into a hotel,” she wrote over one image as if it were the start of a joke.
