If you are a parent, then you truly know that watching television with your young kids is a part of the job. For little ones, bright colors, songs, and more are fun for them, but not necessarily fun for adults. A$AP Rocky is feeling the pain as he said in a recent interview with Billboard Magazine, that watching the popular preschool television series, CoComelon with his kids is “driving me nuts.”
“That s— is driving me nuts!” he jokingly told the music outlet. “Don’t tell my girl I said that. I’m totally joking. I don’t give a s—. She’s tired of it, too, probably.”
The 35-year-old, “Praise the Lord” hitmaker, whose real name is born Rakim Mayers, shares two sons, RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, with multi-hyphenate artist, Rihanna.
If you aren’t quite familiar with CoComelon, the adorable and educational series was first created by California dad, Jay Jeon. First launched on YouTube in 2006, the show has become a smash hit with more than 174 million subscribers with a theme song that has been known to induce uncontrollable toddler excitement.
CoComelon has spun off into a variety of spin-offs, including the most recent, CoComelon Lane.
In its second season, CoComelon Lane has geared up to help toddlers, Rihanna, and A$AP Rocky, and many other parents explore feelings and emotions, while understanding and celebrating important milestones.
“Just like the first season, this season is grounded in an expert-developed social-emotional learning curriculum,” Meghan Sheridan, a mom and Lead Creative Executive at Moonbug Entertainment, CoComelon Lane‘s parent company, explains in a recent interview with Parents.com. “Viewers will get to revisit some common emotions addressed in previous episodes, while also introducing new feelings and big life moments.”
Now that we have mentioned it, we cannot get the CoComelon theme songs out of our head either. We A$AP Rocky and Rihanna know that they are not alone.
